This book contains abstracts of the marriage bonds stored at the Woodford County Courthouse for the years 1789-1830. Many of these documents include a consent and/or a ministers marriage return in addition to a marriage bond. All pertinent information is included in the abstracts. Information taken from the actual marriage bonds was cross-referenced with a typewritten list of marriages compiled by the Woodford County Clerk's Office in 1965. If the Clerk's list contained a marriage for which no bond was located, the information from the list was added to the book with the statement: "Information from Clerk's Office List - no bond located." The bond abstracts are listed in this book in alphabetical order by the surnames and first names of the grooms, with all other names indexed by both surname and first name. 251 pages, softbound, comb binding with vinyl overlay (1998).
