The Carr family of Kentucky is first represented by Richard carr, who appears on the 1792 tax list in Madison County, Kentucky, and later in the 1810 census for Mercer County, Kentucky. Richard Carr was born about 1850 in Ireland. Most people with the Carr surname in the area of Mercer, Woodford and Anderson counties are descendants of Richard's son, William Carr, who married Anna Cox. This book is the story of this family.
